125 vs 250
First off, yes I have searched the af build threads. I have read so much that I often read something and have trouble finding which article it is in when I go back to re-read stuff. I plan on getting started with a gen 3, 125 or 250 frame and plan on doing it Aussie style. So since the main reason people stray away from 125's is the fork angle and replacing the craddle, is it any harder to do an aussie conversion on 125 than a 250? How hard is it to mod the pipe to clear the front tire? Also, since the wheelbase is shorter, how do the 125's do with head shake wide open compared to the 250? I will be using it in woods, desert and dunes.

i have had a look at a couple of 125s it looks like a lot more work the down tube that connects the y piece has a lot more angle and inteferes with the barrel hence ttms billet y i would do a 250 after 02 or a newer crf 250 or 450 my opinion only

im pretty sure the 125 has a taller seat height, but i think its not as longif you like the smaller sized bike, the 125 is the way to go.
, i do know for sure the gen3 125 seat is the optional 250 tall seat
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

I have one of those Ebay Wyes for a 125, also an unmoded 2002 125 frame, also a '01 Service Honda, and an '02 250 frame that was moded using just square tubing eliminating the oem wye and replacing with tubing.
All aid and done I would like to do an ALGAVA style 250...
Anyway I am in mesa, if you want to see 3 different aproaches at one location shoot me a PM.
