anyone know the fire point of redline oil

Post by 2strokeforever »

i came across redline oil and found some ridiculous claims about how good it is but if i find real accurate data i may switch over from 927

heres some of it
A measurement
of the lower-end bearing indicated that Two-Stroke Racing Oil
provided less wear after 7 hours than racing castor or other
synthetics after only 45 minutes. Many kart racers report that they
can operate their engines at temperatures of 25°F greater than
when using racing castor or other synthetics, without fear of piston
sticking, enabling a considerable increase in power to be obtained.

if it has a higher fire point than castor why dont they list it???

so is it complete bs or do kart guys really prefer it over castor?

im not worried about deposits, looked at my cyl head and there was NO DEPOSITS OF ANY SORT ANYWHERE, it looked like a brand new head that was never ran with a thin film of oil over it cant get any cleaner than that can it?
but if its close to castor for fire point i might switch because of no seperating in the cold
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

In my kart I run Blendzall Castor @ 32:1. Are synthetics better? Maybe. Will I change? Nah. Take a peek at this Wiseco. It didn't stick. After showing this same pic to reps from Redline, Amsoil and Lucas, they told me to stick with what I had.
