well, ya, isuzu knows what they are doing with diesels
GM obviously never quite figured out how to make a good diesel, just look at the last GM designed diesel, the 5.7l
used to sheer cranks in half!
Although I am looking forward to see how fords new self made 6.7l diesel works out, so far I haven't heard any complaints.

More fuel for the fire, especially at about 5:40 in.

less than 1/10th of a sec behind a BMW m3 on a track... wow, that live axle really sucks, doesn't it
For half the price and to compete with a car of a completely different class that is also known for its road coarse performance, I'm impressed

by detroit i meant 2 stroke supercharged and turbo 2 cyl with the pump cranked in a truck and i dont ride quads, use rekluse or asv levers and im not a retard so it wouldnt have a stack either
the 6.2 ripped the top half of the bearings out of the block, it was fixed on the 6.5s unless you tried to get more power out of it, but the 6.5 had wayyy to much electronics so it was junk

the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

I had a '82 c10 6.2 it was a bitchen truck, the electronics sucked, had to manually control the glow plugs, but the mechanical injection was awesome, dual tanks were bitchen too. Truck was slow as hell, blew billows of smoke and dumped oil everywhere, but also got 20+ mpg and hauled a full yard of sand in the bed without a hiccup. I mostly just remember a lot of horror stories about them.
A week after I sold it, the new owner told me the rear main seal went and it was dumping even more oil tham before
was glad I got rid of it in time

the blocks were pretty consistent there good till 350-400 thousand k before the went never seen a cracked one with less than 300 kkTruck was slow as hell, blew billows of smoke and dumped oil everywhere but also got 20+ mpg and hauled a full yard of sand in the bed without a hiccup
pretty much i liked how all my dads 3 6.2 started like a fire in the winter, 20 seconds cranking then 1 cyl starts to fire, another 20 seconds another cyl goes..... right till 5 cyls caught then bowwwwaaaaaa like a flooded 2 stroke, it took a full minute or more to start when cold

great mileage id say closer to 30mpg but no power at all
the back brakes didnt work at all so it did decent smokeshows for what it was
funny story, one of my uncles had a ford taurus and wanted to race at a red light us so my dad holds the (front) brakes and lights er up kinda for a joke and between the burning oil diesel and rubber it stalled the taurus and we beat him in a 100 hp crewcab longbox 1 ton truck vs his 200 ish hp fwd car

the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.
