2003 cr250 motor
new top end.
All the electronics
p/c platinum pipe ands silencer
carbon fiber pipe gaurd
1200 for everything
make me an offer I will wheel and deal.
The motor is brand new. I just put it's first top end in it. The old piston was still tits. The rings were still good and there was no blow by on the piston. There were no grooves or glaze on the cylinder walls at all. I didn't have to hone it either. It has very low hours on it it's almost brand new. The pipe and silencer are tits condition and it's got all the electronics with it.
I'm trying to make some money not give it away. 1200 is high maybe? Maybe not... but if you open ur Eyes it says I will wheel and deal with you.
So with all do respect don't comment on my post if all your going to do is flame me.
If you don't want it don't fucking buy it dick head.
if you decide to sell the ignition seperate ($200ish) im interested
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.
4stroke=dead fish
$1200 is in the ballpark. got about the same from my '04 250 motor, pipe, carb, electronics on ebay. that was also close to a year ago when the market was really slow, i think its picked up alittle since then. should have no trouble getting 1000-1200
was easy. everyone has their own ebay strategy but if it were me i would decide whats the lowest youll take for it (example $1000) and start it at that price. dont do a reserve, then hope people bid it higher, worst case scenario is hopefully youll atleast have someone pay the original price of $1000. im no ebay guru but thats what i did with mine. might not hurt to have look through ebay and see what other 250 motors are going for, might give a idea of what the markets like. typically theres alot of junk on ebay, if yours is like new then you probly have a leg up on most the other sellers. mine sold fast, because it was like brand new. people want good shit, not junk. if yours is in good shape there should be no problem getting decent price. detailed pics and description will help also.
also you may get people email you privatly if youll sell for a lesser price. if you dont get anyone bidding, its always a option to take the email offer if its sounds reasonable. like i said theres 1000 strategies. maybe someone here thats used ebay alot has better advise. ive sold 3 or 4 things so im by no meens a pro.
I will have to check into ebay. Sounds lime a good fuckin idea. I would have posted pics on my thread but I do t have good computer access and my phone won't let me post pic on to the site. Unless some one knows how to do it through an iPhone?
I just want to sell the motor so I can get a set of excels for my bike.
If some one has an excel set up I would gladly trade the motor for them no problem.
