Silencer for Gen 3?

Hi guys, so I've started my project with a gen 3 250x and a PC platinum pipe and it is going to be street legal so I need to have it somewhat (cough) quiet). Is the PC Service Honda silencer a bolt on or am I better off buying a 296 and modifying it?

i have a service honda and the pc 296 and im pretty sure it wasnt modified by sh, the subframe looks like it was modified by sh though

I am building a gen3 cr250r conversion right now myself and I've been wondering what silencer I should be buying also...

I would like to either get a fmf q or maybe a q-stealth that will bolt to the subframe and then modify as needed to make the inlet line up to the pipe. Or should I get the 500 silencer (q or turbinecore2) and modify the body and piping to make it fit the gen3.

My main concern is a 250 silencer going to be big enough of tubing to work on the 500??? The difference seems small less than a 1/16" but will it matter for my woods weapon?

SH sells silencers made by PC and FMF that were made specifically for the a/f. My home made gen-3 required mods to the silencer and subframe.

Danny did you use a 500 silencer and mod to fit??

My thinking is if I use the 250 silencer it will bolt up to the subframe perfectly and then I only need to make the inlet line up

the 250 silencer uses a slammer diameter tube.
you have 2 options, mod a regular 500 silencer, or order one from SH.

or buy one you like & have the mounts repositioned in the spots on your AF

So you guys really think the 1/16" diameter difference would be noticable in hurting the power?

I wish they made a q stealth for the 500 then

so my question remains, is it worth the extra $20 or so to purchase the SH PC one or just mod a normal 304 or 296? Will one of the mounts line up on the SH 296 or do they both require modding?

that would be an AJ question. I don't know if they mod the subfarme on the gen-3s, but if it will bolt right on, I would just buy the SH one instead of nigyvering it
If I remember correctly my gen-3 silencer fitment sucked ass...
