Cleaned up the frame, made the square tube sections, new lower motor mounts and buffed upo all the rough spots. Was in such a hurry I forgot to take pics. I will for sure take pics when I pic up both frames from the welder tomorrow. I am really excited. The Gen 3 turned out awesome, and the CRF250 c...

I never saw anything from cleaning casting flash either, but -.040 off a stock CR500 head gave me more torque , bottom end through compression, than any pipe or carb has ever done. Reeds, PWK , and pipe might be close in performance increase, but thats not all bottom torque, and allot more dough tha...

btw, check out the awesome motors MRE (roostius maximus) built for me. Normally I would do it myself but work has been very hectic, and I'm glad i sent my stuff to Adam. He has the knowledge, tools, and skills to get it done professionally, with perfection. Those engine are brand new from top to bot...

that exhaust relief area is the hottest spot on a piston, I be worried about it buring through, distorting, or distorting the ringland, since its so exposed. The turbo streetbikes I run are famous for blow torching the exhaust releifs above the exhaust valve ring land, where the crown is thinnest ab...

dubious 2005 CRF250 conversion
First off, I would like to thank Aliso Bob for the site,, Pstoffers for my motor mounts and head stays, and Mick for the engine jig. I am following Bobs thread for the CRF build, and Pstoffers process with the CR250R build. Thanks to many others with threads I have read, your insight is very valuabl...

Looks top notch! Things like this you almost feel bad assembling and running, but that's what it's for. I'm sure the real beauty will come out when the slide opens. This stuff has been tested in his stomping grounds by himself and his crew and you all see his homework he's donated all over the foru...

:ride:          By far the most enthusiastic, friendly, knowledgable, and outgoing service I have ever experienced, in any of the performance, auto, or motorcycle industry. how much power you think you gain from shaving .030 off a head ? enough difference to even measure on a modern dyno :lmao: ?? 1ftlb maaayyyyybbbbeee ? change in air temp could yeild the same results  . roostius did all kinds of cylinder/case/head work to get +7ftlbs. so i ask you again, how m...

and you said it is still cool on pump gas? I don't really want to do motor work that will cause me to pay for race gas when i don't race. I don't have money to throw at my hobbies like that. Can't the same thing be accomplished with a thicker base gasket? or does that take it too far? You will have...

ok cool. I thought what i read was backwards. I am running a 250 engine right now. but the concept is still the same. I took .030 off an other wise stock , but fresh 01 cr250 with a pipe, and it revved so fast it was unreal. Made my 04 YZ450 feel LAME! I think it was faster than some stock healthy ...

higher compression increases torque, it will bve very noticable on bottom rpm, with no noticable change in top rpm power. Increasing compression is the easiest way to make more power from the cr500. Milling .030 off the head of a stock engine is the cheapest most effective way to increase power on t...

sounds like an excercise in futility. I d rather ride a kdx 200 in that type of shit.... goat trails are for goats, not big cats! Nobody is porting their waterpump volutes (case) eh? I'll post pics for ya when I do my next one. Been doing them for years, ... never boiled a 500, and never ran a...
