Im interested in the desert tank, anyone know if it will work on my 86? I'm 99.9% sure, I'll double check Clarks website when I get home. Jeff, It will work on a 85' to 88' CR500 or 87' CR250. Here is the link to Clarks. PM me your shipping info. http://www.clarkemfg.com/cart/index.php?main_page=pr...

Be sure and document your gen 2 build. I'm considering an AF and a gen 2 would give me a frame with handling characteristics I know and a spare engine for my 250. I would really like to know how the 500 changes the handling of that frame or any other gens. I sure will, I want to see how it compares...

Aluminum oxidises, ferrus metals rust. Sorry Bob I'm not a metallurgist, I did say I was a normal guy in the beganing of my post and thats why I went with a gen. 1 build. The roller came with a PC pipe and it was rusting along with the swingarm. Bearings are seized and rusted. I guess ...

I could'nt let that AF sit outside and rust any longer. I know, I know, Bob. You no Like the SH AF.... :? But I got it at a good price shipped. I can find a CR500 engine for it, enjoy it for a while and then sell it and maybe make a lil profit for my Gen. 1 AFC Fund: New Suspenders, Fund my ...

If you really want to run a two sided head stay on a gen. one bike I suggest getting two thinner ones made from steel rather than trying to run the thicker aluminum plates. I ran an FEA model on the headstay I designed and I got it as thin as it can be and still have a safety factor if 2/1. The ste...

I am about to start molding the tank so that it won’t hit the head stay. Here are a few before pictures. If anyone has any tips or if they have taken a heat gun to a tank and would do it a little differently a second time around please let me know. I don’t want to ruin the tank if at all possible… h...

I think you need a 54mm and a 59mm. Something like that. Whats the combined legnth of the 125 bushing + spacer? The combined legnth of the 250 bushings + spacer are: Countershaft side- 55.98mm Clutch side-54.00mm The stock 98' CR250 both bushings are 49mm I don't think a 56mm would work, right??? I...

Thanks Bob for what I paid for the spacers, head stay and coil adapter I thought those guys gave me one hell of a Hoon deal. I know that it is quality hardwear and for those prices I couldn't pass um up. Bob wrote: 1. I think guys are now using the correct OEM Honda bushings as they are cheaper to b...

I had to take the whole thing out. $.02 Yeah I will have to remove the entire engine to service the top end , I am going to leave it like that for now. I can always cut it off later. Thanks for ...
