I've had nine KTM's ove the years, still have an 08 and none of the chassis' were worth transplanting an engine into until 08. bad stock suspension from 98 until a couple of years ago and mediocre handling until 08.

I've had a lot of KTM's thru the years, 1st one was a 77 Penton 250MX, still have an 08 200. Don't know why anyone would prefer WP forks over about any honda fork. I wil say that the 08 WP's are better than the prior years.

when I got my frame back from Mike it had been heat treated and cooled in a salt water mist, looked like it had been in the bay. I used navel jelly to clean it and then dried it and used a wide stainless steel brush in the direction of the grain. Looked stock to me when it was done.

here is a link to a Maico decomp valve. they are cable operated and return closed via a built in spring. they are very reliable, never had one fail. no need for a rube goldburg (no offense I thought it was pretty creative) lever set up. could this be mounted in the head?

so I've been running my rt side rad with 2 JB Weld repairs for close to 2 years now, thought I would finally get it fixed and have a good excuse to send the head off for a compression release while I'm at it.

any ideas on where to send the rad? I did do a search.

tank is sweet, any idea of the cost in it? looks like a cup and a half or so of fuel will stay in ea of the wingtips but I guess it willl slosh out, call it a reserve. nice job man.

Dredge on the other site told me he had 1 or 2 of them crack like egg shells when he smacked against something. we don't even have rocks here.

I think all the 250f shocks are too long. some years of the 450f shocks are the right length.
