I guess that I can run the 500 cables until I really need to buy new ones, I wonder how much longer the 02 stuff is. Also, I took a look at the brake lever... I would have to bend it out 8-10mm to get it to clear the clutch cover!!!! That seems like a lot. Is there a better brake lever to use? Like ...

I will have to fab a front and back bracket to hang silencer. There will be no need of the dippsy-doodle. It lines up nice, just need to make the tabs.

Hey Bob.. Im all about making my silencer look right.. Did you do a newer CRF sub frame or did you use the older single muffler (04-05) style.

I have built my 08 CRF250-CR500 conversion using the stock 500 clutch and throttle cables. Is there a certain year CR250 that has cables with a little longer length??
These will work, but a couple extra inches would be better.

Im not trying to burst your bubble... but i doubt you'll get much for the roached 02 CRF450 engine. They were not that good in 02 and there are tons of newer half baked ones around for next to nothing. As far as cutting below the weld. I cut just at the base of the weld. making sure I had a decent amount of pocket left. Here is the amount of downtube that I had to remove.

What is everyones doing to get the Gen 4 CRF250 brake pedal to clear the 500 cases. Are people bending the 250 pedal, or using a CR250 pedal?
