That is a tight fit, I never thought there was so much of a difference between the 125 and 250 frame.

The stock 500 hoses snake around the Halo quite nicely...

Head Outlets To Clear CRF250 Tank

Do you think this outlet will clear? it's about the same height as the stock one. I'm going to use one 16mm ID outlet. It will almost have as much area as the two stock 11.5mm ID outlets. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn171/robertgalka/CR500head004.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn171/r...

I have some kind of an FMF with a beat up body. If I don't use it for my CRF conversion, you can have it. I thought you had to add an extension to the silencer to get it to work with the 250F chassis. I'll need it if I have to.

It looks like the outlets are pressed in to me. That head is too pretty to start messing with. It would make life easier if the outlets were at the 6 and 9 o'clock position instead of 11 and 1 o'clock.

Personally I wouldn't drill holes in a cast piston, but I never heard of anyone having problems after they did it. I've never seized a Wiseco, but I wouldn't use one again. Every one that I used in my watercraft shrank about 0.004" after using it about 20 hours. Other members of the watercraft ...

I think the CR and CRF swingarm will interchange. I measured a 09 250X yesterday, and the dimensions seem identical. The newer bikes have a more rounded edge on the swingarm, and a different chain guide. There are about 15 different part numbers for CR and CRF swingarms, even CR125 and CR250 have di...

Converting Gen III CR250 to CRF250

I think I'm going to convert my conversion and I going over what parts I am going to need. So far I have frame, subframe, tank, plastics, airbox, seat. I'm thinking I could make the rads fit, however CRF250 rads are plentiful. I don't know if the swingarm will fit also.

Gen III 250 Frame Lowered Footpegs

What kind of lowered footpegs are anyone using on their Gen III bikes? Do any of them interfere with the kickstarter? I rode a 08 YZF450, and I can stand on it all day, mine doesn't feel right when I am standing on it. I have tall bars and I might raise them a little also. My clamps can be turned 18...

You can make the standard pipe work no problem. I'm not that familiar with the Gen I, but you might have to modify the rear mount a bit. If you use the old style motor, the coolant hose interferes with the pipe a bit, and I think the intake hits it also. You are better off with an 89+ motor.

Change the fluid. A thin rotor and worn pads won't make your brakes soft. A warped rotor could.

Most are running a 6 or 7. A bigger number is leaner, but the cutaway is larger.
