back on the cr500af map , just sorted out a 2003 crf4fiddy frame , swinger and subframe , its gona get road reg'd too , just need to find a motor that suits and the modding will begin , gona keep my eye out for forks set up for supermoto and decent shock , colour sceme still to be decide but i hope ...

i don't know what you see in that thing it looks like a bicycle swingarm...honda swingarms are for dirt bike riding and when properly finished are wayyy blingier then that swingarm...just my oppinion...your bike will be some sort of crazy mixbreed... :lol: ...i'm just fuckin around...but it's mad ...

The bike looks fantastic mate.. looks better than the UK SH ones for I presume a lot less dosh.
My only criticism(more of a dislike) is I don't like the pieces welded in to the cradle.
I'm sure your welding is bob on but when I see obvious pieces it makes me nervous...just a personal thing I ...

Gix man, I'm just wondering about what you did for a headstay mount...i can't see any pics anywhere of what you decided to do for it. As well as the airbox mod, I can't see what you did to make it work...you should hook up some pics of those two mods...

Yup, sadly the frame failed which sent the bike haywire but tbh a cr500 was always gonna be too much for someone with his novice abilities

A while ago a young 17yr old kid joined a forum I visited quite often.
His name was Spike and he had bought a Derbi Senda 50 with mashed motor.
He spoke about fitting a cr500 motor into it and many people took the piss out of him for even thinking it. I applauded him, I have always stuck big engines ...

As a lot of the pics of mine seem quite dated I thought I'd mess around with my camera phone to day and take some updated ones...
I love this bike, building it has been one of my favourite builds

I tried one on my supermoto...just to see if it would help getting the power down out of tight turns in the wet.... it did, but made the bike feel dull every where else.
It's now sat in a cupboard gathering dust.
Just remember, there's always a trade off, if there wasn't Honda would've made ...

Before it goes, it will be fitted with a newly balaced crank/rod assembly,newer left hand crankcase (current one is slightly damaged) along with new mains,seals and gaskets.
Bike is practically new with a couple ...

hi, im from the uk, england, want to convert a crf450 2007, can anyone give me advise, on this conversion please :D

I live in Preston,Lancashire and a local alloy welder(who does paul birds wsb bikes) did my frame mods.
It's an 03 but the mods should be same.
His welding is pure art and worth ...

Nice one mate. Must get on with mine, but a new baby makes for a slow garage life especially when I need to keep other bikes seviced and tip top.
Trust me mate, I know the feeling.

You gotta make a deal with the missus..allow an hour per night in the garage and just concentrate on one bike ...

so the 250 boot fits the 500 carb? can't wait for the bike pics... Yes fits perfect, both the 250 and 500 PJ's have the same inlet size only the bore is different. Nothing is going to line up with the 450 boot pattern, so only thing left to do was make a new face for the box.
