I prefer the "hands on" approach I prefer the compression gauge approach. Where the exhaust port closes has a tremendous impact on cylinder pressure, shaved head or not. Are you talking about a "foot" driven RPM? Gage or actual CR, what ever works for the guy behind the bars.

Yeah, kinda sucks as both the cases were new (with new bearings from SH). I am pretty sure the bearing was seated, but you never know. That is why I purchased them "loaded", so I didn't have to deal with it. I am going to pick up another new case half (again). Keep my original cases in the...
