Yep, the newer covers will fit and yes there is a hose change required.
There is a thread here that talks about it.
Do a search and see if you can find it.

If your key isn't sheared as seems likely, I have heard of a case where a bad CDI was causing that same problem,
Only have heard it once so it's not to common.
Does Honda have OHM specs for the CDI?
If so a quick check might reveal if it's good or bad.

Yeah, whats the deal with epoxy in the transfers?
When my buddy showed me that I was stumped..
Trying to redirect the flow?
Reducing case volume?
I just can't wrap my head around it..

A buddy of mine had the cylinder and when I saw ProCircuits mark I had to find out what they did. In the least it needs to be re-sleeved. We were comparing it to a Egore cylinder  and a stock cylinder. Egore's cylinder had a bit more work done then the PC but I'm less then impressed. I do have...

CR500 port work question

This was a Pro Circuit cylinder.
Note the differences in the exhaust port?
180 and 182 degrees.
http://www.oem-cycle.com/forum/download ... hp?id=2125

Anybody with any ideas why?
Why not split the difference and go 181 degrees across the port?

Did you ever try the swap?
If so, what were the results?
With frame and suspension Geometry being ticklish as to how easy it is to change handling characteristics I'm not sure I would try it.... Just curious..

I haven't seen any info here on them but I know some of the green bikes are running a MZB ignition system with 100 watts for lighting or whatever.
I went to Penton's site to see if they were available for CR's but nothing yet.
Has anyone tried one?

I love using Timesaver for lapping aluminum.

I don't remember reading about what gasket was used but I sure like OEM or Cometic.
