My 94 500 CDI wires matched the 94 250 stator wires but would not work. The Ignitor wires matched also. Just a little update, purchased a 94 cr2 CDI/Coil to go with the 94' Stator/FW. Voila', it started on the 2nd kick and ran great. Not really sure if it changed the powerband much. Mine is a 94 motor and i'm gonna look around on ebay to compare 500 stators and maybe if they look the same as my 94 250 stator then maybe that year 500 cdi will work with the 250 setup. there is a huge Ohm difference between the 94' 250/500 ...

I'm trying to use a 94 stator/flywheel with my stock 94 500 CDI. I tried 2 different stators and still no spark. I still have the stock 500 coil, could that be the problem? Runs fine with all 500 parts. Wires all match and yes i have checked Ohms. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

I have a 94 F/W and a 97, the I.D. is different between them. The 94' should match your 96 and the 97 should match your 98.

I was told AV gas is higher octane but its not designed for higher rpm applications (piston planes dont spin high rpm's). its burn rate is slower and it requires rejetting. so you will probably lose some power but solve your pinging.
