I always cut the headstay block off the frame use 12mm or 1/2 flat plate for a double sided mount then weld the block back on after lining up the carb airboot & sprockets.. .. That headstay has a lot of weight pushing on it at full noise especially in motard with nearly zero wheelspin.. No flex in ...

I totally agree with Bob on this one.. The Gen 4 billet Y piece is the way to go.. CR's are used a lot in FMX & they don't break in half, the boys who use 250 2 strokes as jump bike are using 07 models with upgraded suspension but the frame is standard & holds up well.. Go Gen 4 if you can, it's an ...

I was just saying how when the cradle tubes break or crack at Y piece it can be caused by the motor rocking back from torque, especially in motard, so make sure the headstay plates are heavy enough to stop it so it's not pulling on the front engine mount under acceleration.. I've had this problem ...

I order mine through Ballards in penrith nsw.. You could always use a pro circuit pipe & move the mount on the frame.. I'm near newcastle nsw & have an aluminium fabrication & welding business.. You'll see my AF's for sale on ebay soon.. I'm only planning on selling them for 500 bucks more than it ...

I just started an aluminium welding business & I've done 3 af conversions now.. I ran mine for a year to see if it had any problems.. I use the 125 frame, cut the headstay, bottom frame rails & Y piece off first.. The headstay is welded back on the frame after the swingarm mount is aligned correctly ...
