Hi charkie, all joking aside, I’ve got a 35 year old aluminum version of that little tool and I have never pinched a tube since I got it, I use it just like the stubby web site suggests and tap on the last bit of really tight bead with a hammer.

Question is how hot in degrees Celsius do you need to heat the engine cases to remove and install new main bearings?
I often read about heat them up enough and the old bearings will fall out and new ones out of the freezer will drop right in.
