So i ended up trading a bunch of old four wheeler parts for a 07 CRF250 chassis with everything except for the wheels. can anyone here tell me which wheels other than a CRF250 will work? Also, i noticed that the gen 4 service hondas use the 250x airbox setup. I assume this is a lot easier than the R? has anyone had any experience with dual exhaust airbox/subframe set up AND the X set up?

we used the dual exh airbox and a 97 250 boot

wheels are the same on the front 94+
rear wheels are the same from 2000+
you can use any 4bolt rotor wheel 18" or 19" 1991+ on the back with a bearing swap, buy a bearing kit for a 2000+ and put them in it, you'll need a new spacer between the bearings, i can make that for you cheap if you need. Use a 1997-2001 rotor on it and it'll fit maybe even the 2010 chassis

Roostius, you saying I could run my 97 18" wheel on my 450 if I just install later model bearings?

i have most of mine changed over now., you have to use the big 8mm bolt rotor to match the newer bikes.

you have to change the tube that spacers the bearings too

i think i might have to take you up on the spacers. how well did the 97 airboot fit? I know that Bob said that he still had to "clearance" the airboot from the frame on his X. how much better does the X subframe/airbox work over the R?

i dont remember how the fit was, think it was good. we did have to cut clearence on the inside of the chassis, same on the gen2 and 3 frames need

I have a Cr500 94 rear wheel, so it should fit my CRF450 if I put :

-CRF bearing
-Bigger rotor from a 1997-01 (from a 250 I guess? because 89-01 500 rotor all have same parts # from what I saw )

Questions:

-Is there a OEM bearing spacer(tube) that will fit or one that is longer that I could cut or should I make my own?
-What seals do I need, the CRF doesn't seems to fit.
-Wheel spacer, do I use the CRF ones?
