i use moose with maxima fft filter oil because they look to be the best built, it looks like it might be made by DT1. it has a neoprene sealing surface, suposed to be greaseless but i use a bit anyway, and the pre oiled one comes with an extra foam ring in case it isnt seated properly it wont leave a big gap,
heres a pic of a very dirty one if you look close at the bottom you can see the black noeprene ring, then the other red foam one
my bike did this in one, maybe 2 rides, and i was in front  it was crazy dusty tho

I wouldnt run a twin air if they paid me

uni filters are the worst filters to use based on my experience, iam a mechianic at a repair shop so i deal with this stuff everyday all day long and 90% of the bikes that come in with a uni filter has a nice layer of dirt in the airboot, i would say a good 75% of the bikes that come in for a valve adjustment or rebuild has a uni filter. if you hold a uni up to a light source you can see right through the pores... based on 30 years of being a mechainc my boss has found that a twin air or an oem filter and belray oil has seemed to be the best combo but everyone has their own opinion

get a twin air and ANY other filter and from 10 feet away you can clearly tell which is a thin cheap made in taiwan POS
but maybe that was just the ones i saw...
theres also a thread here called
twin air can suck my balls!!!!!!!!
so thats at least 1 hoon with a severe problem from twin air

i agree 100% with this. worked at a shop that catered to sand dune guys (bikes,4-wheelers etc.) and pretty much every unit that rolled thru the door blown up had a UNI on it... half a pound of sand in the air intake system and filter NASTY DIRTY...
now if youre not riding in the sand then ive never seen/had a problem with them. :?
i have a UNI in my cr now and use PJ-1 filter oil on it but ill be using mine on the street more than anything with a little dirt thrown in here and there.... :D

Foam filters dont stop ANYTHING...

Foam holds the oil , and that catches EVERYTHING.

UNI + Bel Rey Blue Sticky is great.

I ride at the back for the pack AND neglect my airfilter...

NEVER seen anything getting by the filter.

Dont blame UNI, blame the oil, or the lack of oil.

Don't blame the filters, Blame the "IDIOT" that used the wrong oil, or the lack of oil. NOT USING UNI CLEANER AND THE UNI PROVIDED OIL VOIDS ANY WARRANTY OF THE PRODUCT IN QUESTION !!!!!!!

Fixed it fur ya Paulie!

filter skinz rule for sand riding or any type or riding really. few particles might make it to the filter but not many. eliminates alot of cleaning hassles
