is it any deeper than stock? I'm a little worried atht adding capacity with create a brake pedal interference problem.
VERY NICE

Danny, the design you see there is only .025" taller than stock. The additional voume comes from a slightly altered profile shape. I have yet to do a quick calculation to see how much additional volume I have created, but it's a work in progress, so in the end, maybe we make it the same as stock, with no extra volume, but significantly stronger.

This is where everyone gets to add their .02 worth....which is pretty cool. Honda never asked you what you wanted did they?

I'd rather have strength than capacity... I mean how many clutch covers have you seen JBed?? :?

I would like a cover just like this is one, but with "BANNED" above the CR500Riders.com...

And BANNED written in some kind of cool font... like this

you can have both. The cast parts from Honda are made from A356, which does not have the same grain structure as 6061-T6 and thus is weaker when compared with equal cross section.

These covers will be made from 6061-T6 AND will have a thicker wall, even with a larger internal volume. You get both.

To answer your question, I have not yet punched a hole in a case yet, but many, many of my AZ brethren have, and most of them are still rolling around with a glob of filed-down JB Weld on that same case.

ya, I fall down a lot, so I'm liking the sound of this :D
although, I would like one with no lettering on it, just blank and clean looking. I imagine you would machine in the letters after the rest is made anyway, so mine can just skip a step
I do really like the preview though.

what about making a step, liek the stock ign cover has that will go up and over the brake pedal. it would add capacity without getting in the way of the brake stuff. Plus I think it would look sick!

Anything is possible, but...the tricker it gets, the more expensive it gets. I'll throw together a few versions based on the feedback I get here and then post them up. Once we think we have locked in on a few, I'll get them costquoted to see what they will cost us as a group buy.

I like your pic way better than bobs idea for the lettering, with it in the universal "no" symbol it looks pretty trick.
