I have had many 500's and just mantained them and rode them. I have been reading a lot of information here before I start my conversion.
The donor 500 is a 98. I have a 99cr250 rolling chassi and a complete disassembled motor that came with it.
Should I keep and use the 99 electronics on the 500 conversion?
Ihave 2 banshee's and use lectron carbs on them and love how easy they are to tune.
Has anyone used a lectron on there 500? I have a spare 40mm on the shelf.
Just an interesting point the cr500 throttle cable is what I use on my banshee's. They are 2 into 1 setups, single carb.

Thanks
Tim

pwk works fine but i always thought it was too small to be honest. guys on the suzuki site swear by the lectron for the qaudzilla, cant remeber if theyre using 44 or 48. 40mm with stock bowl and you should have no troubles, i say do it. if theres a problem its most likely how well it fits to the stock manifold/airbox. i know it slides in the manifold but is it correct and air tight fit ?? i used 48 with large bowl and had several issues.

first problem i had is honda manifold was not nearly big enough. new unit is 48 ID and 54 OD

next problem was bowl hitting side rail

took some work but i made it fit. not alot of room but just enough
