new to site but NOT NEW TO CR500...

just sayin hey....
heres a pic of the pending CR500 SM
and
heres a pic of my CR500SM from back in 2000/2001. was on this bike when the kid turned left in front of me. broken cheek bone and head trauma and THAT WAS WITH A HELMET ON !!
and
my yz450f that i had for a short time

it will come together slowly ... im gonna keep the white as a base color but def. gonna be adding some colors in other ways... did a bit more work to the bike today. cant wait till i get to fire this monster off....
as for me . full recovery , no lasting affects from accient.... thanks

bought it for 350$
got it bonded
will have street title in a week or so
started w/ pulling engine
needs crank rebuilt and top end done (rod kit/piston kit on the way then off to JERRY HALL)
cleaned/painted frame
will do a full graphics kit so not to worried about plastics
will be red/white/blue when done. tried that anodized paint yesterday and it comes out SWEET if ya spray if over alum. paint/silver paint/chrome aluminum...
1st day i had it
cleaned/painted frame
had to go back together for inspection at DMV
20mins later
1/2hr later
45mins later
OPEN UP AND SAY AHHHHHHHHH
all cleaned up and ready for crank
love this seat
saved my self a ton of money on aftermarket triples...

That's good to hear!! Great pictures of the progress you're making.
Start a build thread of your SM in the steely section and keep the pictures coming looks great so far!
