The VA is a great example of what could happen if healthcare is left to the government.
I've noticed over the last couple of years they're trying to address the vet suicide issues.
Questions during triage that obviously are flowcharted to other questions.
I've learned how to work the system somewhat and am careful of what information I give them.
For example, once you're seeing an actual doctor they don't listen to anything you say.
Consequently while in triage I always mention any problems and the pain level at 10 even if it's a low level pain or even a minor problem.
This way it's entered into the computer and they HAVE to address it.
Healthcare for vets is an honorable endeavor but they fall way short in the actual implementation.
The biggest problem I've had lately is getting past that picture of Obama in the lobby without pitching a slimy snot oyster at it.
