Goal is to build a supermoto street legal psycho ride! :)

i'm sure I'll be asking a lot of questions as this is my first AF

so both radiators are a little bent, will stockers be enough to cool it or should I upgrade? My450 has bigger rads than this 250

spacers?

can anyone confirm which spacers I need for the swingarm? My stock spacer is 6mm (does ths make any sense?). It's an 05 250x. I called SH and they will not divulge which spacers I need even though I wanted to order from them- how silly, eh?

Thanks!

Jeff

Service Honda sucks....

The stock rads are fine, my engine never boiled in the CRF chassis.. where it has in the CR500 chassis.

Check your email for the bushing size, and speaking of size.... tone down those photos....

I am going to do the full cradle (the only correct way IMO)

Sargents Hardcare Race Parts can bend the lower cradle for you... Right to the foot pegs.

nice the only way to go imo are you using different swingarm bushes or you marking spacers to go behind the engine bushes

rads

I just bought a pair.
Quality is good.
They are a lot bigger!

Check my thread I had to modify mine to clear the pipe.

chain alignment

I know this sounds like a stupid question but I didn't pull my motor from a runner. I just bought the 16 tooth front CS from sprocketspecialists and I have no idea which side faces which. Is the chain supposed to be close to the case or far away? getting ready to mock it all up and this is quite crucial!! :)

I dont think a 16 tooth will fit with a 520 size chain?

with a 15 the chain rubs the case so I dont see how a 16 is gonna work....

I'll guess I'll give it a try, so which side faces which way?

16T does sound awefully huge.

What size rear sprocket are you planning on running?

1 52141-KZ4-J40 Bushing ( long side, 59mm) right side

1 52142-KZ4-J40 Bushing ( short side, 54mm) left side

with those spacers the chain will line up perfect

I never checked my chain alignment during mock-up

the 16t does fit but it's very tight! Since this will have supermoto 17s on it and everything I've read here says none of these guys are getting enough top end, I'll probably run the smallest sprocket I can. thanks for the picture but not sure if that helps since that is the stock sprocket. Should the chain be as close as possible to the cases or as far away, there's only two choices and I'd hate to mae the wrong one! Maybe I'll post some pics if I do not get a definitive answer. I want to verify everything during mock up because well, that's the way I roll :)

EDIT: Just pulled the CS cover off of my streeted crf450x and the sprocket is definitely close to the case. So lip is on the outside pushing countersprocket in: sounds correct gentlemen??
