you may or may not find this interesting. I put ohlins ttx suspension on my bike and wanting to try a softer rear spring (I have a lot of old springs from a variety of bikes) I found that a stock titanium 4.7 YZ spring I had fit the ohlins shock perfectly and it worked great last sunday. just for the hell of it I got my parcel scale out.

2006 YZ250 titanium spring 2.5 lb (magnet does not stick to spring)
2005 YZ250 titanium spring 3.0 lb (magnet sticks to spring)
ohlins TTX steel spring 4.2 lb
94 CR500 stock Showa spring 4.75 lb
03 CR125 stock KYB spring 4.15 lb
06 CRF250 stock Showa spring 4.3 lb
06 KTM PDS spring 4.75 lb
