Hit him up $600 for a revalve+respring, new oil, seals and bushes, polish chrome front and back and $100 to rebuild the linkage plus parts....

Take my word for it, ALL Hondas need to be revalved. They have the most harshest mid stroke valving ever created!

Brits check list:

specialty tools=NEGATIVE

clean work space=HUGE NEGATIVE

hour of time=Not in a million years

15 hours a day for 3 days in a row=Possible

15 hours a day for 3 days in a row without professional supervision =NOT POSSIBLE

Naaaaaaaaa.............. takes longer than that.
Shit I spend over an hour just cleaning components! It takes me a couple hours per fork leg and about the same for the shock depending on what all im doing...But I am also the most anal retentive clean freak ever to drop out of a vag head first.

DIBS!

Is this why his teeth are messed up?

Are all of us on this list that have received "services" from Brit legally obligated to invest in his dentistry?

Wook, you better start saving!

Really?? I think its a killer deal. To get everything professionally done by a guy who has been valving suspension since dirt bikes had steel fenders who also warranties his work (he etches the info into the forks and shock and he will fix any problem that comes up on any suspension he has done).
DeWayne valving > gold valves done by inexperienced guy following racetech specs exactly
linkage, bushings and seals add more to my $300 estimate and the $300 was assuming I would buy for you using MFDB hommie cash discount and ship them to you.
If you aren't comfortable doing them yourself I would definitly just send them out. Call up racetech and see what they charge to do everything.
I still think you will probably end up with a superior product from dewayne than a big name shop. At a big name shop you are another number on a list with a spec that needs to be summed up in a couple words, dewayne will ask you a million questions about the terrain, riding style, etc. etc.
just my .02

took me a half an hour to replace both fork seals, inspect and replace oil in forks and replace oil in shock. getting to the shim stacks, aranging them according to the chart and putting it all back together shouldn't take more than 30-60min. Of coarse I used to be a wrench and for some reason I still spin wrenches like I'm on the clock. You take your time, get everything organized and immaculate and really savor it, I hurry to get stuff done before the wife comes out to tell me that my devil children are driving her insane ;)

if your springs are too hard do this :rotfl:

Image
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.
