What is the best boot to fit to the stock 450 air box ? I am using the stock PJ carb for a 93 motor.

98-01 CR250
98-01 CR125

These boots are the longest and will work best, although you might still require a reed spacer or rad valve to get the distances and alignment correct.

You will need to fab an adapter plate for the air box

I uses a 98 CR250 on my 2008 450. Lenght is good with my 1/8 airbox adaptor. I have Boyesen rad valve too.

I used a 99 cr250 airboot as well with my 05 450 conversion as well.

Thanks, I got the boot. I think I will fabricate the adaptor out of plastic first.

That is what I used 7 1/4" total length vs the 6 3/4" length of the 01.

I think they are the same from what I read.
125 or 250 for that year.

98-99 CR250 is the right one, 97 did not fit and neither did the 00.

the 97 I just got is only 6.125 inches long, definitely not going to work!

edit, it's 7 inches

I tried to edit the post, but whenever I was quoted I can not.
98-99 are the longest. Some have used reed spacers, and other boots.
