1991 CR500R Stock Gearing?

Hey guys I am wondering what the stock gearing is on a 1991 CR500R.... I just got my bike and it has 14T and 48T. It seems like it is topping out at around 60 or 70? I am thinking this is geared really low because I just got rapped by my buddies 03 yz450F... Whats the deal here? I weigh almost 200lbs and he only weighs around 130. But even with that shouldn't I get more top end out of my 500? I thought it was sad that he could beat me, and he's also got a 4 speed trans. What do you guys think?

Do you know what the stock gearing is? I mean my CRF280X has a faster top speed...

You sound about rite with the sprockets on your bike, its the gears inside the tranny that are fukin useless.

I have the same bottom end on my dune bike and run 15/44 gearing just to make up for honda's stupidity.

How fast does your dune 500 run? Is it useless for trails though?

Its fast top end, Ive never clocked it wide open but its quick

15/44 does make it not fun in the tight stuff, one of these days im gonna slap a wide ratio tranny in it.
