For Sale: '91 CR500 Bottom end. $ 325
Bottom end Details: I pulled off the left case. (using puller) to make sure all was good in the transmission. (story below). So it needs a new center gasket and it will be good to go. The right side cover has a JB weld repair, cover was dropped during a rebuild a couple years ago. (a little ugly but holds just fine and the pipe covers it). Engine is silver it's been bead blasted.
Story: My brother in law forgot to tighten the drain bolt and the bolt rattled out during a 5 minute warm up ride. Oil was still dripping out when the mistake was noticed. He replaced the drain bolt with a slightly longer bolt. On the next ride, the bike was VERY hard shifting. Thinking that the transmission had been damaged, I gave him my extra bottom end. Upon splitting the case, I discovered NO problem with transmission and gears. The problem was the slightly longer drain bolt made contact with the shift drum and thus made for hard shifting.
'94 Cylinder (had 89.5mm piston) $ 125
This cylinder was ported before I bought the bike, I don't know who did the work. The power came on hard and came on quick. (in conjuction with FMF gnarly, 39 PWK, Vforce reeds). I guess I'm old but I swapped it with a milder engine.
'94 head $75
Vforce 2 Reeds $75
I'll get picture for anyone interested.
Contact me with any questions. I work in Upland, Ca and live in San Bernardino, I'd prefer not to ship the Bottom end.
