2000, 500 Forks on a 03 CRF

Will it work? I have made it this far and running out of Cash...Can I use the Forks off my 500..Are they shorter in length or what's the deal?

The o.d. of the 500 forks are just slightly too large to fit into the crf triple clamps. One other option would be the 500 triple on the crf but I don't know if that would fit or not.

Usually you can just swap the steering stem to switch the triples...
