Got to meet the man up close last night.... cool dude with lots of stories....

Two stood out, one was about the " 1993" bike.... its the same one he used from 1993 to the end of his Honda career.... he loved that bike.

Every year the Honda race mechanics would bring out the "New" bike, every year they would flog it up until the opening round.... and ever year Jermey would throw his leg over the ol' 93 with a new coat of paint. His Honda team mates thought he was nuts.... What did he accomplish on that old piece of shit? Not much....

250cc Supercross Championships: 4 (1993, 1994, 1995, 1996)

250cc Outdoor MX Championship: 1 (1995)

FIM World Championships: 2
Individual Motocross des Nations win: 1
Total Team Career Championship Titles: 2

Motocross des Nations Championships: 2 (1993 and 1996)

The other story was a film clip of Jeff Emig, almost on the verg of tears describing the fustration of trying to keep pace with Jeremy over the years, and the only time he really had the upper hand was when Jeremy was wrestling with the Suzuki that first year.... very emoitional.

Stiles wore his vintage Tee, Jeremy LOVED it... said he had the same one " back in the day"....

Great night was had by all.....

Honduh is so damn stupid. It seems to me that was a hot friction point between McGrath and Honduh back then. I remember the buzz going around Washougal that he was still riding a '93. Then when the aluminum frame came out and again McGrath said NO BUENO they just couldn't come to terms after that. And who'd a blamed him? The 1st Gen chassis are garbage!! But that's Honduh, always the innovator. It doesn't have to be better, just new and different

It's badass you got to meet him! I'd like to shake his hand one day :D
