Fixing my truck and upgrading the blower

The bearing on my suercharger went last week and after pricing ford $2000 and a rebuild $395 I decided to get a used one, I found a guy in TN selling one.

I got it today :D

Steigmier stage 4 ported :D :D :D Should be good for another 35 or so horse, the guy also gave me a C and L upper manifold to sweeten the deal ($200+ new)

The porting alone on this blower is over $650 and I got it for $580 shipped :cool: :cool: :cool:

dude, fucken wash that engine compartment, looks like you have half of dumont in that engine compartment! otherwise, :cool:

Its oil and shit from the PCV all these trucks do it if you dont bypass the PCV system.

Everytime I wash the engine I spend two days chasing missfires and replacing shit, it can stay dirty :lol:

It really is scarey the first time you crack one of these motors and see how much shit the PCV system throws through the intake.

And dont forget that TB aint been cleaned in 115000 miles :wink:

I hate what pcv does to intakes, look at how much zink from old oil is left in the plenum. what kind of oil do you use?

LOL, I didn't read yours first.
My stealth was like, pcv would make all the intercooler hoses nasty as well as the turbo comprosor housings and the intake. I vented it. I was also having issues with sucking oil through it and blowing blue smoke, so venting it was a small fix to a much larger problem.

as far as I know zinc is what causes that discoloration, the combustion contaminants are black, zinc is also what helps oil film strength and to reduce corrosion. Although, I though zinc content was way down because it messes with cats. although I could just be completely off with this.

I always thought it was carbon in the oil getting baked onto shit but you could be right.....

There are tons of aftermarket oil seperators on the market but the downside is yourr blower runs dry, Ive seen a few pics of these blowers with high miles and they look fukin scarey. They are either covered in baked on solid black shit or they lock up.


I like the oil going through it.

Feels like a little more up top and its running a little leaner at WOT so a tune tweek is needed. Picked up just over 1psi of boost on the same pullys :cool:
