Calling flywheel weight owners

Post by MojoScojo »

What do you run for an ignition cover?

Dad bought weight to try on my 500. He doesn't like how it won't tractor around quite like his WR and just kinda dies if you try to. Anyway, the thing won't fit under my aluminum Honda Racing ignition cover. Looking for suggestions. Does ShanMan have any more of his snazzy covers?

Rob, I might be interested in that weighted flywheel after all.

I have run a 13 oz Steahly weight under a Boyesen "Honda Racing" ignition cover with no problems. My weight backed itself off despite being correctly torqued down. I hear you need to Loctite the allen screws that pinch the stock rotor.

Dude, I've got a 15oz Steahly that I will give you. I hated the sucker so much that I jerked it off after 2 hours. It fit fine under the stock cover. I can bring it to Odessa.

Thanks all. It has been installed under the stock cover I dug out of my box o crap. Dad thanks you all.

My opinion remains the same. It's better without it. Dad still wants to try it.

instead of using a weight, i just geared mine up to a 14/46. that seamed to help with traction and gave me longer gears.

if you wanna sell your alloy ign cover, give me a shout.
do it!... cos if you dont, youll spend the rest of your life thinking about it anyway!
