i was just looking at one in a pic and was wondering what ever happened to the technology, not real good i guess, was it to trap an extra amount of air/gas from a pulse then send it back on the intake cycle??
Well the idea sounds right...

I have saw this for banshee's and wondered the same thing. Mine doesn't have one but they seem to be alot of them out there. As of now it just has a pipe that goes between each intake like a u shape... Not sure why you would need it for a single carb though???

Yamaha used it for many years. Its an aftermarket hop for the banshee.
All nitro r/c race engine use it, but on the race engine it is built into the rear crank case cover
