250 engine swap

anybody know if a 2001 cr250r engine will bolt up to mounts on 2002 and later cr250r frames ?? or any body know if 01 top end and ignition bolt on to 02 and later bottom end ?? thanks

I am currently doing this myself. I am putting an 01 engine in an 02+ frame. The swing arm and lower mount work out fine. The front mount needs to be drilled and the head mount needs to be fabbed. I am mostly swapping just the frame and sub from an 02 and using all 01 for the rest of it. I am saving all the 02 bits for my 500 conversion. Let me know if you have any other questions. Here is a before and after, It's not done but mocked up.
PS you WILL need a 02+ silencer (01 header works fine) and rear master cylinder.

will the '00 swingarm work on the 02+?

01 swinger will work fine, same with the shock. If you are to run a 02 swing arm with an 01 linkage you need to swap out a part of the dog bone as I believe the swing arm tabs are smaller on the 02.
