At Race Around the Lake several folks checked out the AF while I was in the pits or on the start line. Told them to come here, and/or look you up on Facebook. Maybe something will come of it.

Coincidentally, I also met Bob Lytle who told me he puts together the CR500R engine kits for Service Honda...small world stuff.

i wonder what SH does with all those good Ys they cut out of crf 250s

its like watching someone take the wrapper off a chocolate bar, throw the chocolate out, and eat the wrapper :bash:
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

2006 crf 250 conversion

Post by BBA »

I bought a 2006 crf 250 with toasted motor for 900. I would like to send the frame to someone to do their majic. the welds above look amazing! how much to get that done to my gen 4 frame? If there was a kit you could purchase that would be great. Not the richest guy around so looking for a reasonable solution to getting this 1997 cr500 motor into this crf 250 chassy. ANY direction would be awesome! Thanks for your time...Bill, Mesa Az

how much for 2006 crf 250 conversion 1997 cr500 motor?

Post by BBA »

I am looking for someone to do the frame cradle replacement. or what ever needs to be done. any direction would be great. 2006 crf250/1997 cr500 motor. from reading through this I would rather have someone who cares about the job than sucking money from someone. What would a conversion cost?
any help would be helpful..
