So I just had my third knee surgery on my Right knee. switched doctors this time. The guy that scoped it this time has a book called "knee surgery the essential guide to total knee recovery"

I can't say enough about him. After doing the US ski team knees and other stars around here for years he went and got another degree in physiology. He was handing out a 160 page hand out to his patients before writing the book. It's current info, published in 2008.

He wouldn't even operate on my knee until a did a bunch of ROM (Range Of Motion) work and some strength work as well. It's not like I was in bad shape and really need the pre-op work either. I was doing pretty well considering my knee really need a tune up. It becuase the results are quicker and better. So afer doing the pre-op stuff for 2+ weeks I was feeling so good I almost canceled the surgery. He showed me the pics of the inside of the knee today. I had a bunch or work done.

If anybody has bad knees, the book is only $15 and worth every penny. Regardless of if you get em fixed or not I'd recomend the book. Just doing some really simple stuff while watching the tube can make such a difference.

Now I just gotta wait around for a month for my knee to heal up. I would have waited till this winter if I would have known that, the lst scope I had I was in the saddle in no time but the resluts were crap.

The book is by Daniel Oneill

good find, I'll be ordering that for sure. I'm about 12 knee surgeries in with three torn acl's, I know how you feel very well. Good luck on your rehab!

The doc was tellin me about "new" things for knees. They have a injection that is like a lubricant to fill the void where there used to be cartilage euflexxa is the name. He was also tellin me about a surgical procedure where they can do some fancy stuff to change the weight bearing path from it's current path to a more outside path which will provide some more good years. I don't want a bionic knee till I hang up the leathers. I'm 40 and optimistically I'm figureing if I can make 65 or so I might have to buy a harley or somethin,
