				Newbie Question lol

				New to the whole AF thing and am building mine as we speak, frame is almost there,  Anyways in most of the pics I see everyone has the cylinder unbolted, are you guys having to pull the cylinder to get the motors in and out of the frame? I am building a gen3 Cr250 frame..  If so I guess I will order a gasket set. Was just planning on avoiding it since my motor is fairly fresh  Guess I would figure it out sooner or later 

 but figure I would ask to get keep the parts rolling

				Maneuvering the 500 motor is easier w/o the jug attached. If u just pull the jug off with the head attached, you'll only need a base gasket. Get OEM BTW...

				If you can get the engine in there complete, I suspect you can also get it out complete as well.

				apparently im a bit retarded. i have to pull the head to get mine in and out but certainly not the jug. 02 250 frame and a shortrod engine. i go in the right side jug first. takes a good 5 seconds to get it in there with the head off.

				I was able to get the complete engine in the '04 SH 500AF I had (based on CR250 frame) but it was a SOB.  Took me 2-3 tries.  Ounce I scratched the hell out of the clutch cover and took that off, I finally got it.

				In my 450 conversion, engine fits in or out in one piece or I can pop the motor mount bolts, tilt it back and pop off just the jug and head. ROOMY!

				99-CR250,
In and out left side only, head on.
Drive sprocket and mounting bolt must be off.

				Well tonight I was test fitting everything, now mind you this is without the front motor mounts welded on but mine went right in, no sprocket, head on.. Seemed really easy no struggling at all..  hopefully it is the same once I weld the motor mounts

				This topic is exactly why I did a "bolt on" right front mount. My original thought  was just for doing an in frame top end. The way the motor is configured there is very little room to tilt the motor back before it hits the right front mount. Being able to remove that mount makes getting the motor in and out super easy.

				My gen-1 was really tight, but did go in whole. then gen-3 was a peice of cake and my gen-4 was tight but also went in whole. the gen-1 needed the sparkplug removed and the gen-4 required sitting the motor on its side, then turning it upright.

Just a update on mine..  Motor goes in and out real easy even with mounts welded...
