Whitlock Wins Racer X / Malcolm Smith Motorsports N.A.H.A. Pro Hillclimb Series: Round 2 – Glen Helen

Utah’s Brandon Whitlock proved to be the fastest rider at the fourth annual Glen Helen Hillclimb National this past weekend in San Bernardino, CA. After scoring the fastest time of the day with a 10.984-second run, Whitlock backed it up by winning the King of the Hill honors, a special event that takes the top five riders from each class into a one-round winner-take all race For his efforts, Whitlock took home the largest portion of the $15,000 prize money.

Corey Erhardt scored the win in the 451-700cc class while Jason Smith edged our Erhardt to claim victory in the 450cc class.

“I thought it was a really good event,” said multi-time champion Kerry Peterson. “We had a record amount of spectators, and the new hill for the event at Glen Helen really worked out well for the competition.”

“It wasn’t a very technical hill, but you couldn’t afford to make any mistakes to be competitive. Finesse was definitely the key today. The top five riders were all less than a half a second apart, and that’s when you know you have competitive racing.”

For more information check out http://www.nahahillclimb.org.

I gotta say thanks to the petersons for making this one of my best most memorable weekends EVER!

And to paul, slomas, cr, rp and all you other hillclimb psychos that showed me this sport then talked me into getting involved THANK YOU!!!!! Without a doubt the scariest thing Ive ever done on a bike, period.

After actually trying it personally I have a whole other level of respect for you crazy fukers, looking at pics and walking the hill aint nothing compared to hitting it on a bike!!!!

Seriously guys thank you, I would have never dreamed of doing anything as crazy as this before I got to hanging out with you psychotics

Hoons! damn we had a good time, im terrible with names and i guess we are a little antisocial, we dont get out much! River was nervous as hell, which i couldnt help myself givin him shit ( to hide that the fact that him being nervous made me a wreck) as he usually isnt nervous.... so anyways im bad with names too but i saw hoons i saw last year (Brit and sabre) and met some i havent yet (lewisclan) and cheered for hoons i still never got to slap 5 on yet (stoffers, rev) but i have to say,
for Bob's efforts,
BANNEDCR500RIDERS had some STOUT REPRESENTATION!!!
watching some of the riders come back down the hill was gnarlier than the going up part..... all in all an awesome show, huge sunday turnout and tons of first timers in the pits, some i know from speedway, and even mx guys borrowing some shade from us in between their motos next door that day to shoot footage with their cellphones, little Allnut topping the hill on his 85 on the pro chute sunday.... stout! Robie, Brett, and Brian as well as Kerry and Crew out there hooking the kids up catching them and wrestling bikes in the heat in between qualifying rounds on saturday...... FIRST CLASS! Thanks again Bob and RP !!!

just got in to work today had a chance to get on the computer this morning, did disneyland & california sun-mon and drove home tues.wanted to stay for sundays show but the wife had other plans for me!!! the kids had a great time riding saturdays hill, Star was shitting bricks being she was the first one of the kids up the hill i had to tell her 3 times to put the kill switch teather on her wrist, but as soon as she poped the clutch she was fine!!! justin was pumped as allways and keeps telling me he needs more power out of his bike so looks like his cr80 is going to get extended for the last 2 races at carnegie and star will probably ride it also and for the one they were calling BRAVE HEART JR. was as cool as ever not a bead of sweat off his head nor a skip of a beat from his heart!!! this kid amazes me everytime he gets on that bike, i told him got go wide at the turn and he goes strait up the hill threw the orange boundry tape ignoring austin foxs direction to stay right and pins the throttle his second run i tell him to go wide again he cuts it short and jumps across the step lands it the rear tire hooks does a small wheelie and falls over!!

all in all they had a great time at the races!! much thanks to the petersons crew for putting on a great show and letting the kidz come out and show there stuff!!

special thanks to RP for setting everything up for all the kidz and the killer swag bags  there allready talking about next year!!! and telling me i gotta race it next

hope to get some pics up soon, still owe stoffers some pics from round 1
