So I meet the owner of Thumpertalk the other day....Brian Bosch

Were rapping and I ask him what "Day one" at THumpertalk was like?

He says he dosent know, he wasent there... hes not the founder.

I ask how he got it, did you buy it?

He says no, he was a member when it was a tiny, podunk site like this one, the founder had a WR400 that ran like shit, and was trying to make it run better.... the founder grew tired of the site, and just gave it away to whoever wanted it.... that was in 2000, with about 100 members



I told him I own a tiny, podunk website that kicks Thumpertalks ass..... cuz we got tits, ass, guns, suds, bikes, and more tits....

He smiles, and points over to his $250k motorcoach....


I guess he won that round....

This site kicks ass and all the people who activiley particapte in the posts kick ass to. I've met most everyone who is a reguler on here. Thumper talk, have'nt met a one yet. Even dudes that are local to me wont try to get a ride going. Thats why this site will always be my home page. Thanks to bob and everyone else that contributes to making this site great. Sounds like you met wilson not bosch. Also sounds like you need to re-define your definition of a great website. Granted you own this one created this one and you are partial to it, that in itself does not make a great website.

Dont get me wrong im not baggin on CR500riders.com it is a damn fine website. Lots of good content, great people and pretty much anything flies as long as you keep it in the appropriate sections.. which is all fine and dandy. However this site is pretty much taylored to one thing and its pretty easy to master ONE thing.

Sites like thumpertalk cater to a much broader range of people. ATV's Snowmobiles, Bikes of all shapes sizes brands and creeds.. NOT just ONE MAKE and ONE Model.

Thumpertalk is an excellent site as well and 90% of the members would stand behind that site as well and so would I. Same as i would stand behind this one and dumontduneriders.com.

You just need to look at things from a bit of a diffrent perspective.. Just because a site is large and has lots of members doesnt mean its a crap site.

see, I like going on thumpertalk when I want to read up on issues and solutions specific to my kawi. everytime I do I notice threads full of retards with retard ass responses... I get the info I was after, reply to a few threads to finally give some poor bastard a real answer, and get out. I'm a member of probably hundreds of boards by now, but I find most to be full of idiots and I really hate idiots, so I hang out here
