250 ignition questions

Just put my conversion back together from its winter time rebuild. Have not ran it with the 250 ignition and have a couple questions???

First off what has been the changes in jetting for anyone who has done the ignition swap. Up/down, main / needle, whatever??

Second, where are you setting the timing? I left the plate on the bottom mounting bolt which lines up with the case mark.

Not really looking for a "JUST TRY IT" response, looking for what other have experience with the swap before I try to start it!

what year ignition
the o1 250 ignition we are running is 11 degrees advanced to the 500 if you run it as a bolt on it will preignite and run hot with flat power we did as shaggy did and slotted the holes to retard it then it realy comes alive and the fly wheel is 140~ grams lighter than the 500 flywheel we are still playing with jetting as we are running a radvalve as well

It is a 99... Top is already slotted and the bottom has a thin plate that can be removed to make it slotted as well. Which way do you turn it to retard it. Clockwise or counter clock?
