I'm in Thomasville occasionally. I think I'll drop by there when I get a chance. Not that I really need more hp. Just curious.

In the drag racing streetbike scene we also back cut the enguagement dogs, so they enguage positive, less forces transmitted to the shifter forks and drum, once they enguage they pull themselves tight.
The polishing (peening) of gears is done mostly to make them stronger, much like shot peening and removing casting flash on con rods, the grain becomes tighter, with less chance of a stress line developing for failure

actually I haven't seen on any sunday... do they speak of this?
straight gears round off fast with the traction available with VHT on a prepped track, and 175 HP stock...hell even my 125RWHP Vmax can't handle too many powershifts, and then 2nd gear is rounded off... sounds like a road ranger 18 speed with rounded off gears....
turbo makes over 300RWHP at 10 psi, and ~ 520 RWHP at 30psi
I run 30 miliseconds ignition kill for each airshift... physics better be working with you!

30 mills is pretty short...i think I run closer to double that...

I used to run 70 miliseconds before I had the trans cut, and moved the solenoid to the ram.
Now its all kill with zero delay.
and 160 psi, billet fork shift shafts, polished drum and forks, and factory pro shift starm heavy detent spring
the zx14 already has very mild back cut, but my busa tore 2nd gear out with less thn 80 miliseconds as they are completely straight.

I did allot of reading today and am realising I am an ameteur compared to a few guys here.
I am no pro engine builder, no machinist, but what I lack I make up for in interest, and desire. I may not own the tools or have all the skils, but I still yearn to learn.
Hope I didn't rub anyone the wrong way,
I appreciate the schooling... alot of info has been put out there over the past 5 years since i owned my last CR500.
