Hey shaggy ,
the shoes on the other foot now.....
The US having to buy somthing out side of there comfer zone....
Thats how us Aussies feel every time we have to by somthing from over see's....not cheap.

This is not a dig at the US market, just an observation of the facts, the Aussie bike indistry is a RIP OFF, were the US market for us is the differance in the dollar (US-AU) and the wage stucture between the 2 countrys.

Not out of my comfort zone, just a big jump from Shans kit. I honestly spent less then $300 for the conversion part of my build and $200 was for the welding.

My point for the "high" comment was... Am I paying for just cost of the parts or the work that went into developing and producing the parts. Some R & D needs to be ate up by the one producing the parts hoping for a long term sale of said product! If it cost you that to make; so be it, but if one is hoping for a 200 or 300% mark up... Good luck in moving the said product. But I guess that is just the capitalist/spoiled american in me

Either way, very nice stuff and very tuff builds shaggy; some of the best I have seen..... But for $700 bucks for just the mounting hard wear seems a little excessive, when I could buy a running 500 for that here in the good ole USA!

if you look at shanmans kit dont get two sided head stay or airbox adaptor with hex screws or swing arm collar or bolts or a full rail replacement.
we did these kits as a non profit thing as everyone wanted a kit for the 450s
if you think the price is high think about what it cost us to develop it for such a small batch run.

Being a tradesman (and an Aussie) myself I can see the costs involved.Id like to see the cost if someone took the drawings to a machine shop and asked for all the kit to be made as a 1 off.Looks like great quality to guys,I like it !! And noone has to buy it if they dont want, they can go elsewhere and pay peanuts and probably end up with a frame looking like its built by monkeys

very  I see the price as a little steep, but also understand where the cost comes from. Also, I seem to remember Fachar selling conversions for $2500 that were never delivered and showed up looking like crap; this kit, an afternoon with the sawzall and mockup and $100 to your local TIG welding badass and you have a super clean conversion.
just my .02

I really dont see any problem with the price of these kits.Go to a machine shop here in the states and ask for the same stuff and see what it would cost here. For guys like me that dont have access to machine equipment to build stuff it worth the money to get the parts already done just my$.02 .Shannon cant wait for my parts :D.

HEY.....Every one your missing the most crucial fact here....we live in to different Countrys with 2 different economic states....i mean just look at the price of motor cycle parts in the states compared to Australia and whole bikes for that matter.....

We here in AU always complain about paying the big bucks to get our bits and pieces from overseas.....

We pay $1.30 for a liter of petrol (gas) what do you guys state side pay for a gallon...i hope the points tacken

it wasnt cheap to get those parts fkd up ,
im not sure what was worse pay $820us and not getting any thing in return ,or paying $1050us plus around 1g AUS in postage to have some one ruin about 7-800 worth of parts.

shaggys definitely on a winner with these kits , the cost to walk into a machine shop do a one off if u can even find someone interested in doing it is out of control , wish these were around when i started mine !!
