I wish I could. There's a Fireblade waiting to beprepaired for paint, and a CRF450 waiting for complete check up ($$$  )
So I will have my hands full the first couple of days

I just need a throttle (+cable) and the piece between the airbox and the carburatof from a CR500. I think I have( te make) al the rest

This place inspired me to build my own. So I know the initial excitement.

Post up the progress.
It'll be a learning experience...no doubt.

Good luck man.

idd :?

What distance between the mountingpoint, and the frame sould I +/- have?

I mounted the exhaust today, and I measured 35mm. Isn't that a bit much?

Yours is CRF450 based, the frame in the photo is a CRF250 frame... The measurment probably is different.

i'd look to see where the clutch case bolt contacts, and move up a pinch from that

Little update today:

I filed the Y-pece, I don't like the result yet. I wil file some more tomorrow

I costumised my chain guide, so I can change my supermotowheels easier

I mounted my new spark plug, it fits with the gas tank (only a couple mm space between the sparkplug cap ant the tank)

This spot is probably holding the motor up slightly. You have to grind on the top weld to let the motor tilt forward more. Get it to where the "HONDA" on the clutch cover looks level then you can measure distance for bottom mount. It will also give you a little more room for the plug and tank.

Get it to where the pipe fits the frame well..... thats the important issue.....

Getting the cover level will do just that. If he leaves it tilted back the rear pipe mount will be somewhere behind the junction of frame and subframe
and would probably have to relocate the mount on the pipe. Tilting the motor down some more will also get the kick lever off the headstay tab of the frame.
