Looks like it's from the USGP at Unadilla and judging from the green backgrounds I would guess it's a 250 with a 500 tank/shroud on it to handle the then longer (45min + 2 lap) motos. Probably late 80's with an American rider since the Euros definitely didn't have that form back then.

The backgrounds look black to me. And where are the fork guards?

+1. 1989 Honda CR250R - the first year with USD forks and the shroud shape looks right. FIM-sanctioned GP - green plates. US rider on US team - Fly Racing decals. Unadilla - certainly the terrain fits.

the fork gaurd is missing in the photo but its those gay flimsy kind the kx's use, you can see the one thats still on the other side

Rick Ryan is the rider. The bike has WP front and rear suspension. Does anyone else have any pictures or info on this ?

when the '88 i have got to a 5th place national finish the dude had wp forks too. going to see him again saturday night and see if he has some retro pics
