We ( a small crew of hunters from Miami) held the Pembina Creeks Wildlife Associations 23rd Annual "Big Game Trophy Night" on saturday
We gave 3 guns away for 1st,2nd,3rd in typical and non-typical whitetail catagories, trophies in bear, moose and elk.
We sold 4 decks of playing cards on a quad and 3 weatherby rifles, had 6 other card draws thru the night with single firearms and another combo deal with a fancy shooting bench and a laminated stock stainless winchester.
24 rifles were given away, one as a general door entry, and one as a general "head" entry. 210 deer heads were entered.
A new, not yet official, but officially scored 198 world record trypical head was there.
Guys pounded the bar and open lunch from 7pm til 1am and we got close to max capacity of the hall.
It was a pretty good deal, we gave a quad away for the 4th year, we want to do a truck on the 25th anniversary.
Dad did the mc work as usual, bro, sis, uncle ray, uncle don and 18 or so other members and i sold tickets on the scramble cards, and other draws thru the night. Uncle Garry managed to get the 50/50 payout up to 2200$ and everything went over pretty good.
