I saw this today in a forum,it's a CRF 450 07

but the 4 stroke engine is not the guilty,i wish it were

Some said that it was because the chain,i don't think so

What do you think?

You don't think it's the chain? Look how tight that fucker is.

My guess would be loose spokes and overly tight chain.

I'd say the faulty 'part' was the rider/setup & maintenance bloke who got near the poor bike

The chain is tight because the hub it's down,the chain had a right tight

The chain has absolutely NO relationship to the spokes. PERIOD.
Granted, it is clearly too tight in that picture, but that could not possibly have had any effect on the spokes.

What have you people been smoking anyway?

That's what i was trying to explain

If in the pics the chain is tight it's because the spokes broke

and the hub is down

Ok, I understand.

As a side note, even with the shock fully extended (which it does not appear to be), the chain should still not be that tight. The geometry does not change that much. It does a little, but not that much.

Loose spokes is the culprit but heres one for ya...

Chain is so incredibly tight that the rear swingarm is effectively locked with no movement, guy hits a 100 ft triple and the spokes are the first thing to give

If the motor can move the chain enough to get him to launch, a landing will be able to move the chain even more effectively.

I suppose the combination _could_ have done it...

But if things are that bad, how, as a rider, do you not know there is something wrong before you hit the jump?

Still not buyin it.

If that is the case, he is very lucky not to of sheared off the counter shaft or cracked the left side crankcase, or maybe he has but you can't see it.

yeah, i have never seen that happen. the countershaft would snap or the case would break. ive seen it before more than once.

The chain being too tight has nothing to do with spokes.

You have an axle before you get to the spokes.

Anyone know where I can get n ID-10-T form for the people here that think it's because the chain is too tight?

I want to file a complaint with the admin.

Clearly Robie rode this bike in the last Adalanto GP.
