Pretty sure they are.

I think the only diff in plastics is the rear fender and side panels / number plates.

As far as I know 89-01 fuel tanks are the same except color.

Same for front fenders and Rad shrouds ( only color )

Rear fender 89-90 same except for color.

Rear fender 91-01 same except for color.

Side number plates 89-90 same except for color.

Side number plates 91-01 all the same.

would it be possibl to swap subframes from the 90 to the 91-01 and then run the 91-01 plastics?

I might end up with an 87' 250. Maybe the seat and sub frame depending on the 250's condition.

I have a '90 also, and I believe you'll also need the silencer, if you're still running the stock one. I'm pretty sure the 'bent' one is only '89-'90. Cr500guy did this on his bike and that's what he told me. Seat, subframe, airbox, side panels, rear fender, and silencer. Do that, and you have infinitely more choices for plastic as far as aftermarket. Not to mention it looks better. :)
