Firstly, official measures of unemployment do not include those who would work, but have given up seeking work. Second, the porkulus stimulus package has completely failed to "create" or "save" jobs. Some of the reporting has now been found to be absolutely bogus.

the unemployment rates are a lie. they are much higher. think about the people that arent claiming unemployment, or the people that unemployment dried up that arent included in the figures.....

another point worth mentioning, over here we have "under employed"factor.
although not "unemployed", they only have part time jobs(16-36 hrs-week) this keeps the unemployment rate down and is often a hidden statistic.

Nearly everything we are told is misleading or a lie.
