So what is KTM doing about this?
Couple of years ago at a SX race I saw someone (KTM) wash out in a corner and his cap poped off, by the time the bike was upright most if not all the fuel was out.
I haven't said anything yet, because I haven't rode since I put it in, but I bought the EVO tank foam (Vet X discount). Although that wouldn't prevent the cap from coming off it sure would have helped with getting fuel all over.

There is a fix posted on ktmtalk.
My 05 doesn't leak, and trust me... it's been upside down several times.

ktm did issue a recall for the leaking cap. But it was not a 100% fix. I'm pretty sure the problem eixted with the 04 to 06 bikes only. I fixed mine myslef with a thicker cork gasket and had no issues. It's not an issue any more since I wnet to the larger clark tank.
