Hi Scott here from San Diego CA. I've got two 500's. an 1985 I've had since I purchased it in High School. I hope it's one of many clean 85's you'll still see around. And I have a newer 1997 500.

85 is pretty much Stock. Have original bars, but replaced them with Pro-Tapers. Still has original plastics. Tires, sprockets and chain have been replaced over the years.
Here's a pic of my 85.

97 has aftermarket FMF Narly with Power Core 2. Changed out tank with an IMS desert tank. And did some work to the engine along with replacing the front fender to a white one to match the rest of the bikes white/black plastics.

Here is a pic of my 1997 before I did some work to it.

After;

I ride out in Glamis, Superstition Mt and Ocotillo Wells where I have a 5 acre property. I also from time to time ride on the new Pala MX track, and Amago track here in SD.

I have loved the 500's from when I attended races at Unadilla and Southwick to see Hannah, Bailey, Johnson and others race the 500 class back in the early 80's. I grew up on the East Coast in New England and had my 85 brought out here to SD where it's fit in perfectly with the surroundings of East County SD.
